Will it sink or float?

The Preschoolers at Imperial took part in a science experiment this week, focusing on the question- ‘Will it sink or float?’.

The children were encouraged to talk about their opinions and ideas, saying if they think an object would sink or float. After sharing their opinions, they tested out the theory, dropping the objects into water and seeing if they sunk or floated. They also took turns making marks to represent numbers on a tally chart, counting how many children said ‘sink’ and how many said ‘float’.
